Pelican Productions is set to light up The Arts Theatre this August and September with two dazzling musical productions, delivering something for every theatre lover. First, the electrifying We Will Rock You takes the stage from Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 August, before the heartwarming family favourite Chitty Chitty Bang Bang JR flies in from Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 September. With exceptional young talent, incredible vocals, and stunning production values, these shows promise to entertain and inspire audiences of all ages.
Opening the season is We Will Rock You, the smash-hit Queen musical that has thrilled over 20 million people worldwide. Packed with 24 of Queen’s greatest hits, this high-energy spectacle tells the story of a group of Bohemians fighting for freedom in a futuristic world where live music is banned. Directed by Vanessa Lee Shirley, with musical direction by Michael Griffiths, choreography by Carla Papa, stage managed by Anthea Prime, Pelican Productions’ youth performers will bring an electrifying mix of rock anthems, comedy, and rebellious spirit to The Arts Theatre.

The following week, audiences will be swept away by the magical adventure of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang JR. Based on the beloved film, this enchanting musical tells the story of inventor Caractacus Potts, his children, and their flying car as they battle the villainous Baron Bomburst. Under the direction of Jethro Pidd, with musical direction by Rosie Hosking and choreography by Nina Richards, the show is set to charm the young and young-at-heart. Stage managed by Anthea Prime,
