Lucky Dumpling Market 2024: ‘Five bonus nights’

The 2024 Lucky Dumpling Market will be opening for five bonus nights next week, beyond the end of OzAsia Festival!

THIS WEEK

This is the final week of OzAsia Festival, and the rest of this week will run as scheduled – the market is open from 4.30pm during the week, and from midday on the weekend.

The other elements of OzAsia Festival, like its ticketed artistic program, will conclude as scheduled on Sunday 10 November.

NEXT WEEK – FIVE BONUS NIGHTS

Next week, after a break on Monday and Tuesday, the market will open for five extra nights, Wednesday to Sunday, plus the weekend afternoons, beyond the end of the scheduled season.

This is due to popular demand for this much-loved springtime hub for food, drink and free entertainment on the Adelaide Riverbank.

Opening hours will be as follows.

Monday 11 November – CLOSED
Tuesday 12 November – CLOSED
Wednesday 13 November – BONUS NIGHT, open from 4.30pm
Thursday 14 November – BONUS NIGHT, open from 4.30pm
Friday 15 November – BONUS NIGHT, open from 4.30pm
Saturday 16 November – BONUS DAY AND NIGHT, open from 12 midday
Sunday 17 November – BONUS DAY AND NIGHT, open from 12 midday. FINAL, FINAL DAY!

All 25 food vendors and four bars will be operating as they have been all OzAsia Festival season. Details about the free onstage entertainment next week will be released soon.

Director of Gluttony and Lucky Dumpling Market, Elena Kirschbaum, says the market’s attendance is on track to outstrip last year’s.

“In 2023 Lucky Dumpling Market’s total attendance was 120,000 people across the two-and-a-half-weeks of OzAsia Festival,” she said.

“As of today we have had more than 110,000 dumpling lovers visit the 2024 Lucky Dumpling Market, so with this weekend coming, plus the five bonus nights Wednesday to Sunday next week, we’re set to have well over that come through the market this season.”

“With the fantastic spring weather we’ve been enjoying, we look forward to welcoming some new visitors to the market on these newly announced bonus dates, as well as returners who are keen for another round of dumplings before we finally close the market on Sunday 17 November.”
