Courteeners reveal new track “Sweet Surrender” from forthcoming album Pink Cactus Café out 25 October

Courteeners have released a brand new track – “Sweet Surrender” – from their forthcoming seventh album, Pink Cactus Café.Featuring guest vocals from breakout Scottish soul artist, and regular guest at Courteeners’ live shows, Brooke Combe, “Sweet Surrender” glides in on flickering acoustic guitars and a driving rhythm track before opening out with a soaring chorus.

“Sweet Surrender is the third track to be revealed from Courteeners’ seventh studio album Pink Cactus Café, released on 25 October 2024 on Ignition Records. It includes previously released “Solitude Of The Night Bus” plus current single and album title track, which have both received widespread national radio playlist support in the UK. With Liam Fray co-producing all tracks and featuring additional contributions from friends of the band such as DMAs, James and Ian Skelly (The Coral), Pixey, Charlie Salt (Blossoms), Ola Modupe-Ojo (Bipolar Sunshine) and Theo Hutchcraft (Hurts) amongst many more, Pink Cactus Café is pop-leaning, exploratory and the band’s most collaborative forward looking record yet.

Following a UK summer of shows including a massive headline 25,000 capacity show at Lytham Festival and high profile slot at TRNSMT in Glasgow, Courteeners embark on an anticipated headline UK arena tour next month.

One of the most cherished bands in Britain, across their 16-year career, Courteeners have had consistent commercial success.  Pink Cactus Café is Courteeners’ first new music since 2020’s critically acclaimed More. Again. Forever. and more recently, a reissue of Courteeners’ debut album St. Jude which reached No 1 in the UK Album Charts in 2023, fifteen years after its original release.
